Council Tax To Increase by 3.8%
Council tax will increase by more than the rate of inflation for the 10th year in a row.
An average household will have to pay an extra £47 a year as council tax bills rise by an average of 3.8%
This will mean since Tony Blair to power 10 years ago an average council tax bill will have increased by 90% from £688 to £1315.
Although the increase is the lowest for 10 years, it is feared that households could face much bigger council tax rises next year.
